Albury Wodonga and the surrounding region have an extensive accommodation range from self-contained and Bed and Breakfast to 4.5 star motels to resort style. The majority of the accommodation is located within an 8km radius of the venue.

There are many additional accommodation sites within a 30 minute drive /ride of the event venue. These include Bed and Breakfast and resort style accommodation at Rutherglen, Yackandandah and Beechworth.

There are 2595 beds in hotels/motels and resorts in Albury Wodonga capable of accommodating 4195 persons. Prices ranging from $80 to $130. There are sufficient sites at caravan parks and resorts within a 20km radius of Albury Wodonga to accommodate in excess of 1500 persons.

It should be noted that the Albury Gold Cup racing festival is to be run on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 March 2015 which may cause shortages of accommodation in the region. Club members are encouraged to arrange accommodation bookings sooner rather than later.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CAMPING:

Roof top campers must register as an RV and will be camped in the RV section only. Member’s vehicles (other than bikes and trikes) will not be allowed in the camping areas. For those arriving by car, volunteers will be available to assist you with the transport of your camping gear to your site.

CAMPING FEE:

The camping fees are per person, and cover camping from 7.00am Monday 23 March until 10.00am Monday 30 March 2015. If sharing a camp site you have to register on the same form, the second person is at a discounted fee. The camping fees help cover the cost of providing camping, toilet and shower facilities regardless of the number of nights. (It cannot be guaranteed sites booked at the same time will be in the same area of the Camping grounds). Group booking applications will be considered and are at the discretion of the AGM Event Committee. Sites cannot be booked for others unless they are on same registration form and are limited to 2 registrants per form. Those intending to camp together should plan to arrive together.

GROUP CAMPING:

Group Camping is not guaranteed. Application procedure: Eachmember to register for the event. Once each member receives their AGM Event Confirmation from the National Administration Office, the Group Camping leaderneeds to post a copy of each of the registration confirmation sheets for eachperson within the group along with a cover letter outlining the group name andeach person’s name within the group. Group camping will only be permitted for UNPOWERED sites due to the layout of the site. It is the responsibility of the Group leader to follow-up on the receipt and acceptance of the request. Group camping sites will be allocated when approved. More information will beavailable as the event gets closer.

POWERED CAMP SITES:

There are powered sites available for those who have MEDICAL CONDITIONS WHICH NECESSITATE ACCESS TO A POWER SOURCE TO OPERATE MACHINES USED IN THE TREATMENT OF THE CERTIFIED MEDICAL CONDITION ONLY – NOT DOMESTIC APPLIANCES. These sites must be reserved via the registration form. Please attach a medical certificate to the registration form clearly stating the machines to be used. If you have previously provided a medical certificate which gives the above information, please make note of this on the registration form. As sites are limited, bookings will be taken on a ‘first in first served’ policy. Powered sites are not located near the unpowered sites.

CARAVANS AND MOTOR HOMES:

Caravans & motorhomes must be self-contained as there is no power and water available to connect to. There will be water points around the site to obtain potable water.

All discharge from caravans & motorhomes must be captured, not released onto the ground. A portable effluent dump site will be provided for waste disposal.

Trailers will have to be disconnected from the main vehicle and stored in the secure car park.

Must register as RV’s on the registration form.  More information will be available as the event gets closer.

TENT CITY:

Members booking accommodation in Tent City will need to provide their own bedding i.e. sleeping bags, pillows etc. If required, these may be posted.  Details will be available as the event gets closer

TENT CITY IS NOT POWERED:

If you require power for medical needs you should seek alternative accommodation as this is not for you. Low voltage street lighting will be provided. If two people are sharing a tent and registering separately the Administration Office must be given names & membership numbers. Please note that this area is a restricted fire safety zone – no open fires or flames are allowed in this area.
